LAW ENFORCEMENT TO HOLD RECRUITMENT FAIR IN NEW ORLEANS
National Asian Peace Officers’ Association to convene career fair
August 17-18 at Harrah’s New Orleans Hotel
As law enforcement agencies across the country focus on greater diversity in their ranks in order for officers to reflect the demographics of local communities, the National Asian Peace Officers’ Association host a career fair during the organization’s national convention. Federal, state and local law enforcement agencies will participate in a career fair for community members interested in law enforcement as a career or for those looking for new opportunities. There is no charge to attend and is open to the public.

BACKGROUND: The National Asian Peace Officers’ Association was established in 1980 with 22 chapters representing all ranks from municipal, county, state, and federal law enforcement agencies from across the nation. NAPOA is committed to building stronger relationships with the communities its law enforcement officers serve and represent, recruiting and mentoring new officers, preparing and supporting officers in the promotions process, and working with law enforcement leaders to increase and diversify the work force.
